UASidekick is an airspace awareness tool that ensures safety in the NAS for both manned and unmanned pilots alike. The app allows remote pilots to easily file flight plans that integrate seamlessly with FAA Flight Service and the FAA LAANC system.
As a FAA designated UAS Service Supplier UASidekick allows the drone pilot to submit flight plans to the FAA for immediate approval or for further coordination in controlled airspace at available airports. LAANC is the first step in Unmanned Traffic Management so we look forward to providing updates and new features as the FAA rolls out additional services.
*NOTAM & UOA Request*
UASidekick was developed to facilitate FAA reporting compliance for those required to submit a NOTAM to fly. UASidekick works with Flight Services to provide a streamline process which allows a NOTAM submittal for those holding 333 waivers and those operating under a COA. A UOA can be submitted by those holding a 107 certificate and even hobbyist who all want to participate in unmanned flight reporting into the same Flight Services portal.
*Community Search & Rescue (SAR)*
These request are internal request that allow only UASidekick users to submit and see other users request for SAR. These request do not replace the need to call 911 or your emergency service provider but will allow the community of UASidekick users to see a need and offer assistance. ........ read more
